Helen - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Springfield, Illinois

Meet Helen!

Helen is a beautiful 1-year-old brown tabby with the sweetest heart and a stunning swirl of stripes. This gentle girl is still learning that people can be her safe place - she's not a big fan of being held or restrained right now, but with time, trust, and patience, she'll blossom even more.

Helen may be blind in one eye, but don't tell her that - she doesn't let it slow her down one bit! She gets around just fine and loves exploring her space, finding cozy spots to curl up in, and keeping an eye on everything that's going on.

Her true love, though? Wet food. It's the key to her heart and a great way to win her over!

She has FIV, which means she has a weaker immune system than most cats. FIV cats can live a long, happy life, but should not go to a home with FIV-negative cats.

If you're looking for a kind, independent companion who just needs a little time and love to shine, Helen could be your girl.

Come meet her at the Animal Protective League, located at 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. We are open every day from noon to 5 p.m.
