Miami - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Spokane, Washington

This beautiful 1-year-old calico is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. The shelter environment has been overwhelming for her, but she has already started showing us her sweet side. One of her favorite things is gentle head and cheek scratches, and when she's feeling comfortable, she'll roll around happily soaking it up.

Because she can be nervous, she pays close attention to where your hands are moving and may become frightened by quick or unexpected motions. She has occasionally hissed to communicate when she's feeling overwhelmed, and we've found that respecting her boundaries and giving her a little space helps her quickly relax and return to enjoying affection.

She is looking for a quiet, patient home with adopters who understand that trust takes time and that communication is important. An experienced cat home that appreciates feline body language and respects her need for space would be ideal. With compassion, patience, and a gentle approach, this sweet girl has all the makings of a loving and devoted companion once she feels safe and secure.
