James is a sweet, slightly shy 6 month old orange kitty with endearing leopard-like spots scattered across his body. James was born outside in Contra Costa County and, along with his brothers Ted and James, has easily adapted to indoor life.

James was a shy boy at first, needing a few days to emerge from his shell and observe his surroundings carefully. But once he warms up and decides to welcome you into his world, his playful, spirited personality takes over. He becomes very affectionate, adoring soft head and cheek pets that he'll actively seek out once comfortable in his environment.

James is a chatty guy who enjoys communicating with his people. He's talkative and social, especially once he's settled in and trusts you.

Once comfortable, James transforms into a playful cat who goes absolutely wild for a wand toy moving quickly across the ground. He loves wrestling with his brothers and isn't afraid to hold his own in a good play session.

He also enjoys lounging by windows, keeping watch over the neighborhood and everything happening outside.

James would do best with adopters who appreciate his need for time to acclimate and who can offer patience during his adjustment period. He'll thrive in a calm household and would do well with other cats or in a multi-cat household.
