Forest - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Santa Barbara, California

JUST ARRIVED AT THE MONTECITO PET SHOP ON THE MESA!
FOREST GETS A SECOND CHANCE AND NOW HE IS READY TO FIND A PLACE TO CALL HIS OWN.

Imagine living in a parking lot next to one of the busiest streets in Santa Barbara. A nice lady was feeding Forest, his mom and siblings, but that was all she could manage.
One day he decided to press his luck and took off across Carillo Street at the intersection of Bath Street, one of the busiest intersections in Santa Barbara. A lady spotted something unusual moving and thought it was a paper bag blowing across the way at first. Upon a closer look, she saw it was a kitten. And like many of us rescuers do, we stop traffic, get out of our cars regardless of the rest of the world passing by and save an innocent animal from a poor fate. Yes, Forest was lucky! A few fleas and greasy ears, but otherwise he was healthy...and super friendly. A real purring buddy!
And when he let him share a space with three little girl kittens, he was just delighted! He had a safe place, friends to play with and a safe comfortable place to check into until he was ready for a home.
Forest has had a vet exam and is tested for Felv/FIV. He is also wormed, had his first FVRCP vaccination and is neutered and microchipped.
You can meet and adopt him through RESQCATS at The Montecito Pet Shop on the Mesa located at 2020 Cliff Drive in Santa Barbara. The number for the shop is (805)965-6780. Adoption hours are Monday thru Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday from 10-3.
