Rue (4/4/26) and her brother, Cinna, came to us after a kind Good Samaritan rescued them from the Arizona heat. Both were unsure about humans and needed time to adjust to indoor life.

For Rue, that meant avoiding people at all costs—if you came near, she was gone in a flash! With patience, love, and one special feather wand, Rue has discovered humans aren't so scary. Her foster found the secret: start pets with the wand. Once she realizes how good those touches feel, the wand transitions to a human hand—that's where the magic happens. Rue isn't the kitten who leaps into your lap; she's the one who makes you earn her trust. Every step she takes toward you feels like a victory.

Note: Rue & Cinna must be adopted together. They will thrive in homes with patient adopters. A home with older, calm children who respect boundaries is ideal. Gentle interactions and slow introductions will help them flourish.

Rue is spayed, microchipped, FVRCP vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
