Chubi is a 9-week-old tuxedo boy who has already come such a long way. He was rescued by a local police officer when he was just about 6 weeks old — a tiny baby, covered in dirt, with little tearful eyes that seemed to wonder why the world hadn’t been kind to him.

But Chubi didn’t stay that way for long.

With the gentle care and love of our volunteers, he has blossomed into a clean, bright, and incredibly sweet little boy. What stands out most is how quickly he chose to trust. Because he was cared for so young, Chubi is deeply connected to people — he doesn’t just accept love, he seeks it.

He loves playtime, especially chasing a teaser with all the joyful energy of a happy kitten. He’s perfectly comfortable being held in your hands or arms, settling in as if he knows that’s exactly where he belongs. And when it’s mealtime, he eats with enthusiasm — almost as if he understands that every meal comes with love and care.

Chubi is full of life, warmth, and that special kind of happiness that only a kitten who has been given a second chance can bring.

He is not neutered yet but is open for applications now. Approved adopters will need to wait a few weeks until he reaches the appropriate age for his neuter — but he is absolutely worth the wait.

Although our cats are all located in Puerto Rico, they can fly to mainland US. We can usually find flight angels to bring the cat to you once you are approved for adoption. We don't charge for arranging the trip, the air ticket is $125 on top of the $50 adoption fee ($175 total).
