Looking for a unique home:
Bonnie is a cat that loves other cats! She bonds with any and all and becomes their shadow, their buddy, their play mate. She came to us in 2024 as a young kitten, the longest foster we’ve had to date. She’s gone to two separate homes before. One had two girl cats and didn’t accept a 3rd in their midst. Second did not understand her shyness. She is very reserved with people and comes to you but only on her terms.
I make time to pet her when she eats, when I eat, and when she comes over. Things to not try to do: chase her, or try to hover over her.
If you are very insistent on getting to her and are chasing her not only is that stressful for her but she will also poop. Yes, oh yes, out of 160+ cats I’ve fostered she’s the only one that’s mastered that surprising skill.
She came to us with her brother Clyde, who after visiting one home before his forever home, suddenly became a sweet Velcro cat. We’ve stood by in hopes of the same outcome for Bonnie. She’s not known the outside life since she was 4 months old.
She sleeps with us, hangs out in where either we or other cats hang out but runs if we approach.
I am posting her as I continue to work on her socialization and wondering if anyone might be on the lookout for a unique situation or wanting to continue to socialize. She is a good girl and I’ve given her the longest body rubs, and petting sessions, she connects with some better than others. Patient loving individual required.
Fun fact:
She’s also the only cat I’ve known to take her tongue out when she meows! It’s ridiculously adorable and silly and is a part of what makes her unique.
