Beauregard came to Helotes Humane Society as a tiny 2weekold kitten, weighing just about 8 ounces after being separated from his mom. Even then, his striking whiskycolored eyes were full of expression and determination.

From the start, Beau showed a bright, inquisitive personality. He loves being near his people and can often be found stretched out at his foster's feet while she cooks in the kitchen - always observing, always involved.

Just as he was nearly ready for adoption, Beau was diagnosed with FIP. Only a few years ago, this would have been a heartbreaking diagnosis. But after almost 3 months of treatment and 3 months of observation, Beau is now infectionfree and ready for his forever home.

Beauregard is wonderfully social:
He's completely comfortable with the foster's dogs and loves playing with her husky's plumy tail.
He's a gentle big brother, grooming and playing with the 5weekold foster kittens.

And of course, Beau comes with his beloved woobie blanket, which he nurses on and sleeps with every night - a comforting little piece of his journey.
