Meet Melon!

Apparently being a tiny black kitten with a cute little white chest spot was not enough to get Melon adopted at the shelter. He and four other black kittens were repeatedly overlooked at the end of an adoption event. Their crime? Apparently being black cats.

Lucky for Melon, we have a serious weakness for the overlooked ones.

Melon is a little shy and timid, but those sweet, kind eyes are starting to realize that humans are pretty great... especially when they come bearing snacks and snuggles. He's still learning the whole “being loved” thing, but he's catching on quickly.

He'd LOVE a confident kitty friend to show him the ropes and teach him that life is actually pretty awesome.

Basically, Melon is a work-in-progress snuggle bug who just needs someone willing to give him a little time.
