Before coming into rescue, James spent quite some time living as an unaltered stray on the east end of town, surviving the harsh Western New York winter on his own. Life outside wasn’t easy for him, and the little scars on his face tell part of that story. Like many unaltered male strays, James likely had to fight for food, territory, and safety.

But despite everything he has been through, James is incredibly loving and friendly.

This sweet boy absolutely adores companionship and enjoys being around people. He has a gentle, affectionate personality and is the type of cat who will happily soak up attention and become a loyal companion. After spending so much time outdoors, James is clearly ready to trade survival mode for a soft bed, warm home, and someone to call his own.
