About Mysti:
"Hello, my name is Mysti because my origins have always been a mystery. No one knows how I came to be, I just wandered into a backyard & never left. The tip of my ear was lost to frostbite my first winter because I was pretty young when I was left on my own & my human took me in out of pity. Ever since we were inseparable & spent a lot of nights in quiet companionship with me on her lap while she watched tv. We used to spend a lot of time outdoors while she took care of the garden I would explore.
I have been a good girl my whole life, my human told me so repeatedly. I spent most of my life in the same home & then for the past year I was at a memory care place as her ESA. Now I am back home but my human is not. I don't know why I couldn't go with, just that my human started to forget how to take care of me properly but I don't think it was intentional. She forgot a lot of things.
I would do better in a home that's quieter as that's what I'm used to. I have been around other cats with no issue (though I am more submissive), not sure how I feel about dogs, & while I haven't been exposed to children if they're older & can respect my space I think we could get along.
I have some weight to lose as I enjoyed snacking a little too much & wasn't getting as much exercise as needed, but thanks to my cat companions & switching to 6 small meals a day via an automatic feeder (which you can also have if you wish) I am getting back on track. I am currenlty on N&D Farmina brand cat food but haven't had issues adjusting to other food brands in the past with proper change over. I am used to a pet fountain (again, that you can also have) but I am still scrappy at heart & remember my outside time. I do still like to try to go outdoors although my current human's daughter keeps me as an inside only cat for my safety. Even if I get out I always come home after I'm done exploring.
I have proven to be a mouser if the opportunity presents, but eating them isn't of interest to me. My meow never really formed properly as I kind of squeak & while I'm not sure why it's pretty unique. No current known medical conditions. Before I go to my new home I will get a full vet check & updated vaccinations. I am hopeful to find someone who is looking for a forever companion as I am eager to find my forever home. I miss my human but I know she loves me & has prepared me well for whatever the next chapter brings."____Please Note: We ask that an application be filled out before coming to the shelter.
