If you read Louise Penny's Inspector Gamache mystery stories, you probably know the name of another major character, Reine Marie. It's a French name that translates to Queen Mary. I was estimated to be around 7 months old when I came to the shelter after I was found on a farm. I went to stay in a foster home. I am a small, timid girl who was rarely seen in my foster home. My foster mom said that she never witnessed me eating, using the litter box, or playing. I would hide under a chair or a windowsill. I do not like being picked up, but I do seem to enjoy being petted. The younger kittens treated me like a mama cat; they tried to nurse on me. I will need a quiet home with very patient adopters who will let me adjust to my surroundings at my own pace. I will likely do best in a home with adults only where I can gradually learn to trust and feel safe. I know there's an experienced, loving, cat-savvy person out there who would love to take me home where I can feel like a queen, their beautiful grey tabby girl, sweet Reine Marie.
