Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

I’m a cute older kitten who is named Kitten. I was found with my mama Jolene on a rural property in Lyle. By the time we were trapped on October 26 to be spayed, there were four more kittens! There had been six, but two did not survive. The kittens were only 3 weeks old, so I was separated from them. I did NOT like that! I became very sad and wouldn’t eat. I got reunited with mama and the kittens, and I was happy again! I was like a second mother to the little ones, but they went to the shelter, and they all got adopted, so it was just me and Mama in our foster home. I am shy and slow to trust people, but I know my name and will usually stop what I’m doing when called. I am very treat-motivated and will like Churu off your finger or a spoon. Then I’ll let you pet me – it works as a good trick to build trust. I will lie/sleep next to you on the couch or by your feet on the floor. I like being up high on the cat tree to look out the window. I love smelling the fresh air, playing with toys that have balls I can bat around, and tearing cardboard scratchers apart! I enjoy wand toys that jiggle or make chirping sounds. I have a habit of dragging them off to my favorite part of the house and will also carry balls in my mouth. My foster mom has a MyReef 3D Aquarium app on TV that’s very cool! I bat at the fish with my paws, so she tries to keep my nails trimmed. I have had fun wrestling and chasing with my mom and siblings. I do not like to be held or picked up yet, because I associate it with being put in a kennel or going to the vet. My adopter will need patience with me as I learn that being held is not a bad thing. I love to play with people or other cats. Mama and I would really like to be adopted together. I was once called Dolly, but my foster mom thought the name didn’t suit me. Still, I am a darling little dolly, and I’d love to be your girl, your adorable Kitten. Mama and I will be staying in our foster home for a while longer. Please call the shelter to make arrangements to meet us.
