Daphne and her siblings came to Texas CARES from an overcrowded shelter in Longview, TX, and while some members of her crew specialize in chaos, Daphne prefers to maintain a certain level of decorum. She is demure, gentle and very much the princess of the operation.

She's also the most "present" kitten in the litter. Whatever you're doing, Daphne would like to be nearby supervising, usually accompanied by the steady little thrum of her purr motor. She's curious and confident but refreshingly independent, with a very dignified "No need to fuss-I've got this" attitude.

Daphne has made friends with the adult cats in her foster home. The dogs remain... **under investigation.** When surprised by one, she occasionally transforms from elegant princess into a tiny hedgehog, puffing herself up to approximately 300% of her actual size. Very intimidating. Allegedly.

She may be a bit bashful when meeting new people (especially young children with bouncy energy) or learning a new routine but give her a little time and she will adapt. Daphne enjoys gentle play sessions and sunbathing regally in her window seat like a tiny heiress. Daphne would ideally like to have a feline partner in crime in her forever home.

Daphne is spayed, microchipped, litter box trained, up to date on vaccinations and combo tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.
