Cat’s Age & Sex: Savannah (female approx. 1, 1/2 yrs)

Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): Spayed, up to date on vaccines,
microchipped

Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome): Savannah was found living in a small,
wooded area at the edge of a very busy road in Ormond Beach. She was found at approx. 6 months with
her kitten (approx. 3 months). She is a very petite gray and black tabby with beautiful savannah catlike
markings. We think she was dumped while very young and pregnant (not sure how many kittens she
had). She was approachable and willing to be rescued, although you could see that she was hesitant in
trusting people. She is very sweet, gentle and still a little shy while learning to trust again.
Savannah needs that special home and person that will give her the space she needs to continue to
become the awesome cat she is. She has been around dogs and will even nudge up next to them and
then walk away. She will do best to stay as indoor only cat in a quiet home with someone who has time
and patience to give her the attention and love she deserves from the life she was rescued from.

Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Savannah is still learning to trust so
she is shy and selects her people on her terms. She shows affection nudging to some and the chosen few
she cuddles up to; I have even seen her hug the ones she really likes. She will need more time and
patience, learning to trust and socialize more.

Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys): She will have some of her
favorite food, treats and some toys that will be provided for her.

What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): She currently eats a mix of dry and wet canned
food, usually wet canned food in the morning and dry in evening. She really likes Temptation catnip cat
treats mixed with greenie dental treats

:::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst
drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%)
and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box
avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills
too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY
minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we
recommend double this).

*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place
him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a
few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new
environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this.
