Pirate may only have one eye, but this little guy has enough personality for two! He had a rough start, coming into our care with a severely damaged, bulging eye that unfortunately couldn't be saved. After recovering from his infection and surgery, Pirate initially found the other kittens a little too rambunctious and began to shut down. With some one-on-one TLC in a foster home, he quickly regained his confidence-and his big personality came right along with it!
Pirate is the perfect combination of playful and cuddly. He loves being picked up and held and has the cutest collection of chirps, grunts, and meows when he wants your attention. His favorite toys are the Cat Dancer and just about any wand toy, but his absolute favorite thing is playing with his people.
Pirate also found the perfect friend in Porsche. Her gentle personality helped coax him out of his shell, and now the two play together constantly and look for each other when it's time for a nap. While Pirate enjoys playing with other cats, very rambunctious play can sometimes intimidate him.
Like any true Pirate, this little guy is always on the hunt for treasure-and by treasure, we mean food! He is incredibly food motivated and has no problem sneaking over to someone else's bowl the second they look away. His love of treats also makes training and getting him into a carrier a breeze.
Pirate occasionally bumps into things (or his people!) on his blind side, but he has adapted beautifully. He runs, plays, explores, and cuddles just like the other kittens.
