Bambi & Elmira were rescued together from a large outdoor colony of community cats. Life in a colony can be incredibly tough, but sweet teenage mom Bambi did everything she could to fiercely protect her tiny baby, Elmira. Tragically, Elmira was the only surviving kitten of her litter, making the bond between this mother and daughter completely unbreakable. Against all odds, Bambi kept Elmira safe until they were rescued from the colony. Because of their history, they are incredibly bonded and must remain together in their forever home.

Meet Bambi (The Gentle Protector)
At just 15 months old, Bambi is barely more than a kitten, yet she has already proven herself to be the most incredible, dedicated mother. She is a gentle, soft-spoken gray-and-black tabby who absolutely loves people. Bambi is incredibly friendly and serves as Elmira’s emotional anchor. She has a sweet, nurturing soul and is always ready to show her daughter—and her humans—how wonderful a warm, indoor life can be.

Meet Elmira (The Sweet Shadow)
Elmira is a gorgeous, sleek 1-year-old black cat. Because of her rough start in the community cat colony, Elmira is naturally a bit shy around new people. She is deeply attached to her mother and relies completely on Bambi to feel safe and secure. Once Elmira sees her brave mom accepting love, she relaxes and shows her incredibly friendly, sweet nature.

The Ideal Home:
Because Bambi and Elmira are inseparable and must stay together, they are looking for a very specific, peaceful retirement from colony life. The absolute ideal home for them is with a mature couple in a quiet, low-stress environment.
To help Elmira feel entirely safe and allow both cats to truly blossom, they must be the only pets in the household—they cannot be around other cats, dogs, or any other animals. Additionally, they require a home with no children, as a calm and predictable atmosphere is exactly what they need.
