Sweet Bijou was surrendered to us a few months ago after one of the owners resident cats had attacked her, very badly injuring her leg. Bijou, her owner told us, is in all respects the perfect cat. But in fairness to Bijou she could no longer keep her because the bully cat could attack her again. After we fixed her all up, and making sure her blood work as A-OK, we gave her a dental. Now she is ready to go to her forever home.
Initially it was thought she was just over a year old (being petite she looks like a kitten) but it turns out she is probably closer to 5 years. Bijou is a wonderful companion. She is currently being fostered and she loves to sit with her foster mother, be near her foster mother and sleeps with her on the bed. She is a very cuddly cat. Initially she is timid but once she knows she is safe with you she will adore you. She comes around very quickly. When she went to her new foster home she kept herself scarce for about a day after which she bonded quickly with her foster mama. So what kind of home would suite Bijou? A quiet one. One with no children unless the children are older, gentle and not rambunctious. A mature person who works from home would be perfect. She would do well with a cat friendly cat for friendship as in her previous home she got along with all the cats (except the bully cat) and we noticed that she thrives with feline company. So a cat friend would really benefit her. If you are interested in meeting Bijou please email us at nsnap@cogeco.ca or send us a message and we will be happy to send you a no obligation adoption application. Her adoption fee is $200.
