Trixie is a sweet, silly two-year-old girl who loves being around her people. She is playful, affectionate, and wonderfully chatty, and she always has something to say! She loves wand toys, getting pets, and finding a cozy spot to curl up in. Once she feels comfortable, her personality really shines and she is such a fun, loving companion.
Trixie enjoys other cats with a proper introduction and would love a kitty friend, but she would also be perfectly happy as your only cat. She would likely do well with a dog and would be best suited for a home with children ages 5+.
Trixie had a rough start and came to us with significant self-inflicted wounds caused by environmental allergies. She has been evaluated by a veterinary dermatologist, and her allergies are now well controlled with daily Zenrelia and gabapentin, both of which she happily takes mixed into her food. Her medications cost approximately $30 total per month.
She does not require a special diet, although she does have a particular fondness for Fancy Feast Delights. Trixie may take a little time to settle into a new environment, but once she knows she is safe, you get to see the sweet, silly, chatty girl we have come to love.

About Ten Lives:
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.
Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
