Maximus - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Papillion, Nebraska

Maximus is an 8 year old gentleman who has major main character energy. With floor flops that test the integrity of your flooring and headbutts that might make you see stars, this handsome fella is ready for you to shower him with all of your attention! As payment for your unconditional love, he will run a successful biscuit factory from your lap, while offering free samples to anyone else in the vicinity who has a lap good enough for him to practice his craft. We know Maximus's purrefct match is out there somewhere!

But here's the beautiful part: we're starting to see him open up, and it feels like watching a flower slowly turn toward the sun. Maximus is selective about who he lets into his inner circle, but once you're in, he's golden. There's something incredibly special about a friend who decides you are their safe place, their person, their everything.

Right now, Max's trustedpeople list doesn't include dogs or young children, and that's perfectly okay. He's looking for a calm, predictable home where he can bond deeply and love fully.

The adoption fee is $75 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.

Town and Country Animal Rescue Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary. We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws.

Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day!

***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them.
