Serena is the sweetest girl! She is beautiful, affectionate, parades like a model, purrs and trills prettily, and has luxuriously thick, soft fur. She lost her home when her human mom had to go to a care facility. She lived with another cat, and has had no adverse reaction to her foster mom's cats coming to the screen door of her room, so she should do fine with another cat-friendly cat after an initial confinement to settle in and then a gradual introduction. There was no mention of her having been with a dog, so at age 3 and without her front claws, a dog in the home is a No.
Serena is very social, usually laying by the screen door of her room to be near whatever human or cat may walk by. She meows wanting out of her room, but not when we're in her room. She enjoys petting about halfway down her back, but may give a little nip if petted further back than that, as many cats do. She rolls over wanting her belly gently petted a bit. She enjoys being held with her belly to your chest and sweet talked and nuzzled, but her bottom half must be supported if you're standing or sitting up to make it comfortable since she's a big girl. My nephew lays on the bed, and she lays on him with her arms and legs spread, belly to belly, makes biscuits and licks his face. It's absolutely adorable!
Because she's a big girl, she is currently on measured amounts of light wet and dry foods hoping to trim down a bit. It would be best for her to continue with this feeding pattern since it seems she was free-fed before and that's how she got overweight. She allows gentle brushing and will need her back claws trimmed.
Serena will be a wonderful cat and lavish her parent with love and affection and a lifetime of happiness. To meet her contact Carol Davis at 913-634-6345.
