Onyx - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Ottawa, Ontario

Onyx was born into a feral colony in March 2026. He is a sleek black kitten who is expected to grow into a big, sturdy boy. While he's still a little shy, he's making wonderful progress every day as he learns that people can be trusted.

When he's picked up, Onyx starts to purr and relaxes as he realizes he's safe, though he can still be a bit cautious in new situations. One of his favourite things is playing with toys—he'll happily chase a ball around and even carry it in his mouth while playing his own little game of soccer.

Onyx is looking for a calm, patient home with someone who will give him the time and reassurance he needs to continue building his confidence. With a little love and encouragement, this sweet boy is sure to become a loyal and affectionate companion.

NOTE 1: Spays, neuters, first vaccinations and vet checks are included in the adoption fee.

NOTE 2: Because a young kitten needs feline companionship, it is the policy of Cat Rescue Network that kittens 6 months or younger be adopted out in pairs unless there is another kitten or young cat already in the home.
