MEET DOLORES — A BEAUTIFUL GREEN-EYED CALICO LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME

Val-des-Bois, Québec
Junkyard Colony Rescue

Dolores has a story that breaks your heart.

Dolores and her friend/son Merle (m 4yrs old) once had a home. They were safe, loved, and part of a household of approximately 15 cats.
They knew what it meant to live indoors, surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and people.

Then, everything changed.

Their owner, a man in his 80s, suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed. He had to move into a long-term care facility, and sadly, the home and safety net these cats depended on disappeared overnight.

The house was locked, and approximately 15 cats were left outside to fend for themselves. (his daughter took over of the house and junkyard) ....sounds familiar a déjà vu

These were not feral cats who had always lived in the wild. They were social cats who had known the comfort of a home. Now, they are left in the cold, with no proper shelter, hiding under vehicles and among the surrounding forest.

The employees at the junkyard have been feeding them, but food alone isn't enough. They need safety, warmth, and somewhere to call home.

DOLORES WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TO TRUST US.

When we arrived to rescue them, Dolores came running to us first, with Merle following close behind. We had only two carriers with us, and Dolores walked right in!
We were not prepared to see this!

Both cats were secured quickly, and we returned better equipped to rescue five more boys 2 days ago.

But sadly, three cats are still waiting to be saved. **** we will go back next week, right now I have 10 cats vetted, and need to be fostered.

For now, though, let's focus on this gorgeous girl!

DOLORES IS READY FOR HER NEXT CHAPTER.

With her beautiful green eyes and lovely calico coat, Dolores is a special girl who deserves so much more than the uncertainty she has endured.

She deserves a warm bed, a safe home, gentle affection, and a family who will never abandon her.

Her world was turned upside down through no fault of her own. Now, we want to help her discover what it means to be cherished again.

Let's find Dolores the forever home she deserves!

Please share her story. Somewhere out there is a family who will fall in love with this beautiful green-eyed girl and give her the happy ending she deserves.

Because every cat deserves a home. Every cat deserves safety. And every cat deserves to be loved.

Let's make Dolores's next chapter her best one yet.
