Lucy is an exceptionally shy cat who is struggling with life in the Cat House. She spends most of her time tucked away in a hiding spot, and unfamiliar people are often met with nervous warning hisses. The busy shelter environment has been difficult for her, and she has even struggled to eat comfortably because of the stress. Despite her fear, Lucy shows us glimpses of a different side. When she is gently picked up, she relaxes into your arms, as though the world finally feels a little less scary. It is a reminder that beneath all of her uncertainty is a cat who simply needs to feel safe.
Lucy is looking for a quiet, patient home where she can leave the shelter behind and adjust at her own pace. She will need an adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her settle in without expectations. We believe Lucy has so much potential, but more than anything, she needs the chance to discover what life feels like outside the shelter.
Lucy also has no teeth, so wet food is essential for her.
