Personality
Rebel is a calm, confident cat who settled into his foster home almost immediately. He's incredibly sweet, loves people equally, and isn't the type to pick favorites. One of his cutest habits is his signature "sit-sit," where he'll perch with his front paws on your lap while his back end stays on the couch or bed. If he's feeling especially content, he'll reward you with tiny "mini biscuits" while purring away.
He's happy to be held, enjoys pets from head to tail, and even tolerates nail trims with very little fuss. His soft little meow perfectly matches his gentle personality.
Living with Rebel
Rebel is the kind of cat who fits into almost any lifestyle. He has a low energy level and enjoys the simple things in life:
* Lounging on his favorite blanket
* Bird watching from the window
* Napping on the cat tree
* Spending quiet time with his people
* Collecting his daily "cheese tax" from foster dad while lunch is being made!
He's also an excellent traveler and handles his carrier like a pro. He also has great litter box habits.
Does Rebel Get Along with Others?
**Cats: Yes! Rebel has lived with other cats and coexists beautifully. He's respectful and easygoing, though he tends to do his own thing rather than looking for feline playmates.
**Dogs:*Yes! He was initially a little unsure of his foster family's 48-pound dog, but after about a week he was comfortably sharing space without any issues.
**Children: While he hasn't lived with children, his foster believes his calm, adaptable nature would make him a wonderful companion for respectful kids.
FIV+? It's Really No Big Deal!
Rebel is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive), but don't let that scare you away! FIV is often misunderstood. Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives with the same love and routine veterinary care as any other cat.
FIV is not contagious to people or dogs, and it is not easily spread between cats. It is primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds, which is why many FIV+ cats successfully live with FIV-negative cats, especially when everyone gets along—as Rebel has shown in his foster home.
The Perfect Home
Honestly, Rebel would thrive in just about any home. Whether your household is busy and active or peaceful and quiet, he'll happily settle in. If you're looking for an affectionate lap cat who doesn't demand constant entertainment, Rebel is your guy.
Why You'll Love Rebel
Rebel is one of those special cats who simply makes a house feel like home. He's mellow, adaptable, incredibly sweet, and loves curling up beside his people. If you're searching for a loyal companion who asks for little more than a cozy blanket, a sunny window, and a lap to sit on, Rebel is ready to meet you.
Come meet Rebel—you may just find your new best friend.
