Sloan was trapped in a colony with other kittens. It is clear Sloan is not related to them but like most outdoor cats trying to survive he showed up where the food was.

Sloan was probably born outside just in time to face the winter season. We are so happy that we saved him from that, it's unclear if he would have survived.

With help from BCC volunteers, Sloan has been growing braver and building trust. He might hiss every once in a while if someone comes towards him too quickly, but he loves pets, including belly rubs. Sloan will need a special adopter, who will be patient in helping him continue his journey. We also think he would do especially well in a home with other cats to show him the way.
