YAZZIE: PROFESSIONAL MENACE. PART-TIME SNUGGLE BUTT.
Look at that face. Is it not the cutest face you've ever seen? Yazzie is not just a pretty face. He is also extremely talented.
He can jump on his foster siblings' backs like mechanical bulls at a bar, vertically scale anything he can sink his claws into, and unleash a shrill yell-meow when he wants more wet food (usually about 20 minutes after eating). His "Who, me?" face after sneak-attacking another cat is truly Oscar-worthy.
Most of the household cats have decided they do not appreciate his chaos. The two "aggressive" cats, however, LOVE him - grooming him, cuddling him and kicking his butt. Yazzie considers this an excellent arrangement. He genuinely loves other cats; they just don't always appreciate his enthusiasm.
So Yazzie needs a home with another confident, friendly male cat who actually likes to play. Think serious Godfather energy: willing to roughhouse and throw down, but also willing to groom and cuddle the kid afterward.
Beneath the chaos is the sweetest little guy. Yazzie had a rough start: he was found inside a car engine and brought to the shelter in a backpack, dangerously overheated. He was terrified of people and stopped eating. Now he has discovered that humans, laps, beds, scritches and air conditioning are pretty great. He is currently curled up next to his foster mom while she types this.
A few things his future family should know:
He did well with a small dog, but we don't know about big dogs.
He was initially scared of small children, but could likely do well with kids 8+ who are ready to PLAY.
He needs a few days to warm up. In three foster homes, he hid for about 3-5 days before becoming social and snuggly. His new family needs to understand that this is normal. Once he feels safe, the real Yazzie comes out.
