Charlotte - Domestic Short Hair and Dilute Tortoiseshell Cat for Adoption in Norfolk, Virginia

CHARLOTTE

Domestic Short Hair, Dilute Tortoiseshell
🇺🇸
Norfolk, Virginia
August 17th
female, small, young

DESCRIPTION

Charlotte is one of a litter of four and loves to play with her siblings. At 10 weeks old, she is full of energy and curiosity. She has a beautiful diluted tortie coat and would fit right in at her forever home with a sibling or another cat as a playmate!

PLUS, Charlotte is Microchipped: if they get lost (and found), they can easily be scanned and reunited with you!

We DO usually require adopting two (2) cats or kittens together, so they have company when you're not around. This offers them a buddy to play with and can help keep the mischief to a minimum. Please let us know if you would like to meet some of their siblings and friends.

Settling In: The Rule of Threes

Transitioning to a new home is a big journey for a cat. The Rule of
Three's is a helpful guide to set your expectations:

3 Days — Time to decompress and begin to feel safe in their new
surroundings.
3 Weeks — Settling into routines, learning their new home, and
starting to show their personality.
3 Months — Fully at home and truly part of the family. This is when
they blossom!

Patience is everything. Behavioral changes along the way are completely
normal and part of the process. For more on acclimation, visit our FAQ:
https://www.feralaffairs.org/faq/

++++++++++++++++++++

Our Promise — Every Cat and Kitten Comes Home With:

Spayed or neutered
Vaccinated — rabies & FVRCP
Microchipped
Screened for FIV & FeLV
Treated for parasites and fleas (to be continued by you at home)
Any additional veterinary care needed for two weeks.
An electronic copy of their medical history for your vet.

Ready to Adopt? Here's How:

Please email us at AdoptaFANcat@gmail.com to get started, then follow
these steps:

STEP 1 — Application
a) Complete our Adoption Application at www.feralaffairs.org/adopt
and email us at AdoptaFANcat@gmail.com to confirm.
b) Complete our Kitty Care Quiz at:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/kittyquiz
(Easy — just read each section before answering!)
c) Send a few photos of your home. They don't need to be perfect —
just show it's a safe and comfortable space.
d) Schedule a quick call with our Adoption Coordinator to go over
your application and answer any questions.

STEP 2 — Meet & Greet
Schedule a time to meet your favorite cat in person — either at
Catnip Cat Cafe in Norfolk, Greenbrier PetSmart in Chesapeake, or
their foster home, depending on where they're currently staying.
Look at the start of this listing, or inquire with us about their location.

STEP 3 — Contract & Welcome Home!
When we've agreed it's a great match, we'll finalize the adoption
with a contract, collect the adoption fee, and get you ready to
bring your new family member home!

Note: FAN kittens do best with a feline companion. We encourage adopting
two cats or kittens together, or adopting into a home that already has a cat.
