Zeus - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in New York, New York

What my friends at ACC say about me:
My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!
I have lived with cats in my previous home.
I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.
Zeus is laying on top of his den above his brother, picking his head up and meowing softly as the assessor approaches. When the kennel door is opened and he is called over, he quickly gets down from the top of the den to greet the assessor with a soft head bunt. He looks down at the floor from the middle kennel and tries to exit, appearing interested in exploring. Zeus is able to be easily picked up, remaining calm when he is held. When he is placed back into the kennel, he continues to meow and softly head bunt, tail displaying piloerection at the base but not escalating with extended petting and interaction. He continues to try to exit throughout the interaction but remains easy to pick up and maneuver each time.

Zeus interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.

My foster writes:
Meet Percy & Zeus: two sweet, food-motivated boys
These two are total sweethearts who love treats and affection. Give them treats on Day 1 and you'll be friends: expect head butts into your hand and rubbing against your legs for pets. They're vocal, too, and will happily let you know when it's mealtime.
Fun fact: Zeus is a speed-eater who'll happily check out his brother's bowl after finishing his own, while Percy takes his time. A little supervision at dinner keeps everyone happy.
