Meet Sylvie - She Has a Type.

Sylvie is a 3-year-old dilute tortie with smoky silver-gray fur, gorgeous cream markings and those absolutely ridiculous green eyes.
She is, in a word, stunning.
She is also a tortie.
And if you know torties, you know that sometimes the beauty comes with... opinions.

Sylvie recently went home with a lovely couple from New Fairfield, but their household has had a LOT of cats. And Sylvie came to the very reasonable conclusion that she did not sign up for that many current roommates of the smell of former ones.

She became overstimulated and, combined with her already healthy supply of Tortitude, things got a little too spicy. There was scratching. There was biting. There was a mutual realization that this particular living arrangement was not going to work.

So let's save everyone the trouble:
Sylvie would like to be your one and only.
She can coexist with a cat or two here at the shelter, but we've learned something important about her:
Sylvie doesn't want a roommate situation. She wants the penthouse.

She also has a very frisky side. She's playful, energetic and definitely not looking to spend her days quietly staring out a window like a decorative pillow. She wants interaction, attention, playtime and a home where she can settle in without a feline population census happening around her.
And honestly? We get it.

Some people are built for crowded houses and dinner parties.

Some people want their own bathroom and don't want anyone touching their stuff.
Sylvie is the second kind.

She's spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, SNAP negative and ready to find a home where she can be the gorgeous, funny, slightly spicy girl she was meant to be.

One cat. One queen. Zero roommate drama.
That sounds like a pretty good arrangement to us.
