Sanibel and Amelia are two bonded color-point kittens rescued during a TNR project in Florida.
Amelia is a 4 month old Siamese mix and the sibling of Marco and Sanibel, She is a shy, sensitive kitten who may run when approached but she is very comfortable and playful when she feels safe. You'll often see her happily playing with toys or exploring while staying a bit cautious of hands and sudden movement.
Amelia can be gently petted, and once she feels safe, she will begin to purr and enjoy the attention. However she is still fearful of sudden movements and does not like being picked up yet. She will need continued patience, calm handling, and time to build trust.
Amelia must be adopted with her sister sanibel, as Sanibel gives her the confidence she needs. The two are strongly bonded and rely on each other for comfort and reassurance.
With time, patience and her sister by her side, Amelia will continue to grow in confidence and trust.
