Mabel - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in New York, New York

Mabel is a sweet, hilariously quirky cat who is officially retired from street life and ready for her forever home!

Over a year ago, Mabel was rescued from the streets of Harlem after raising five healthy, chubby kittens. All of her babies were adopted long ago, and now it's finally her turn! Her transformation in foster care has been pure magic-going from a terrified stray into a fun, chatty, and loving indoor companion.

Mabel is a true, unapologetic foodie who lives for wet food, Churu treats, and puzzle toys. Her deep love of food makes bonding a breeze and brings out her best quirks, like politely demanding meals right on schedule and taking cozy post-meal naps. Don't let her short, stubby legs fool you-she has kitten-level energy when a string toy comes out, leaping into the air with incredible speed and skill!

With the softest fur and a gentle heart, Mabel loves full-body pets down her spine and never gets overstimulated. She is wonderfully vocal, always chirping and squeaking to share her excitement, hunger, or affection. Once she feels comfortable, she'll melt your heart with sweet slow-blinks and affectionate head-butts. She even has a cute, endearing habit of sleeping on her favorite floor mat!

Mabel will thrive best with an experienced adopter who is willing to give her a little time and patience to settle in.
