Dee Dee is on the at-risk list for medical concerns. Dee Dee has been diagnosed with early renal disease. Behaviorally, Dee Dee is often head bunting and soliciting attention with handlers. She would highly benefit from continued direct care and monitoring that we cannot provide.

A volunteer writes: Everyone knows I love seniors and DeeDee is no exception. She is a 12 year-old beautiful girl both inside and out she was brought into us by the NYPD when she was found roaming around and her owner was unable to be located. Dee Dee is so incredibly loving and just wants to be pet and loved on. I can tell that she is just looking for a cozy couch with a sun puddle and a warm lap to spend her days. I can't continue to explain how perfect I think she is, how loving I think she is, and how lucky I think anyone would be to have her as a part of their family. Seniors have no place in a shelter so please open your heart and home to this angel.
Addendum from another volunteer: I met DeeDee today and back home, she is still very much on my mind. She is a little lady with such good energy and thirst for being with people. She is curious, likes to explore without trying to run away and is such a sunshine who enjoys laptime. She comes with health issues often seen in seniors. Still, that should not stop her freom enjoying life to the full and give love and companionship to the person willing to make her golden years...beautiful. DeeDee is already dreaming of you!
