Shomo (TBI/neurogenic bladder) - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in New Prague, Minnesota

Shomo is an absolutely amazing fella, so very good-natured. We don't know what trauma happened to him, but he came to the rescue needing his tail amputated, cognitively impaired, and needing help with his bladder and bowel. The dear boy simply cannot read others at all. He assumes the very best of absolutely everyone. (We use him to assess other felines as he does not react to their fear.) Shomo happily greets visitors at the door, and he loves everyone. The dear boy cannot resist crinkle bouncer toys, leaping high into the air to catch them. (He isn't the best at landing.)

Shomo needs an extra special home as his bladder requires expressing at least every 12 hours. He has a difficult bladder to squeeze, and he isn't a huge fan of having that done. The dear boy needs someone with strong hands. He cannot urinate on his own. His bladder would rupture if not expressed. We keep his stools firm so that we can control his bowels as well, simply helping him empty his rectum when he urinates (by using external pressure).

This loving fella enjoys cuddling with felines and humans alike. He is available for adoption for $50.
