DESCRIPTION
Meet Scout - The Worst Feral Cat in History
Scout's original career plan was simple:
Be a feral kitten.
Avoid humans.
Live the mysterious outdoor lifestyle.
Unfortunately for Scout, she was absolutely terrible at it.
She came to us as part of a trap-neuter-return program in Danbury, destined for a life of independence and secrecy. But one of our volunteer fosters took one look at her and said:
"I bet there's a cat in there."
And Scout said:
"Absolutely not."
Five minutes later she was purring.
Okay, maybe it took a little longer than that, but not much.
Thanks to a foster with the patience of a saint and the persistence of a Netflix true-crime detective, Scout slowly discovered that humans are actually pretty great. They provide snacks. They provide pets. They provide heated blankets and do not require you to hunt your own dinner.
Frankly, she's become a huge fan.
Now 8 months old, Scout is a petite grey-and-white beauty with glowing green eyes that look like she knows where buried treasure is hidden. She's still a little shy when meeting new people, but once she realizes you're not plotting against her, the purr motor starts up and doesn't seem to have an off switch.
Seriously.
Pet Scout once and suddenly you're listening to a tiny fuzzy motorcycle.
Scout is:
Spayed
Up to date on shots
Microchipped
Former feral (allegedly)
Current professional purr machine
Her story is already a success.
A scared little kitten learned to trust people, discovered that affection is amazing, and traded in her feral-cat application for a lifetime membership in the Couch Cat Association.
Now she just needs the final chapter:
A forever home.
Adopt Scout - because after all that effort becoming a house cat, it would be rude not to let her enjoy the benefits.
