OWNER SURRENDER COURTESY POSTING - NOT WITH NASHVILLE CAT RESCUE. IF INTERESTED, REACH OUT DIRECTLY TO: Jonathan (970) 999-2699
Mazzy is five years old and has been with us for three years. She was very independent and took some time to warm up to us in the beginning but has been become a very sweet member of our family. We are sad that our new residence doesn’t allow animals and we won’t be able to keep her past August.
We believe Mazzy may be a Savannah cat or have some exotic lineage, but she has always been listed as a standard shorthair. She looks like a Savannah and can be affectionate but also takes time to warm up to people and other animals. She was being held separated from the other cats when we got her because she struggled to thrive in the shelter environment and did not get along with others. But she warmed up to our second cat after some time and did very well with him, so we know that a home with other animals is possible just something to consider and be sensitive of when deciding if your home is right for her.
When we moved to Tennessee last September, we updated all of her vaccinations for a 3-5 yr period, so everything is still current. We also made sure that her microchip is updated and current as well. She’s litter trained and fixed and has never had any health concerns while we have had her. She doesn’t even spit up hairballs. She is very playful and loves giving chase to bugs and laser pointers. But she can be equally chill and loves to sit close by. Because of her personality and previous struggle to do well in a shelter we are really hoping to be able to place her in a home and not have her go back to that environment.
