Good evening! We are THE GARDEN TOOL BABIES! We were born in a garage, in a neighborhood in Murfreesboro, TN, so the folks at True Rescue thought it was fitting to name us after garden tools...on account of those being things in a garage. We did have our mama all throughout our lives, but she is staying back at the house after getting fixed, and so we are now living full-time at the True Rescue shelter in a cool room called Sunnyside. You can come and visit us any day of the week between the hours of 11-3. There will be a big ADOPTION EVENT this Saturday, but it will NOT be at PetSmart this weekend, but will be held at the shelter in Mt. Juliet. We will be there if not adopted beforehand.
Also, we have to add...(gets rudely interrupted by Weeder):
WEEDER: Excuse me, Rake, but I had ZERO say in the names. Those people named me "Weeder". First of all, I'm a girl, and second of all...they named me "Weeder"!! I'm NOT happy about this at all.
RAKE: Oh, and I've got the gift of names, myself! Isn't "rake" another word for a bad person?! I don't have an ounce of bad in me...what's up with that?!
LOPPER: My name is the WORST! Get over yourselves, because I officially have the worst name.
PRUNER: I beg to differ, Lopper! My name includes a terrible dried fruit that no one likes! NO ONE!! (starts sobbing uncontrollably)
RAKE: Here she goes, cue the crocodile tears...
LOPPER: Shut it, Rake, she can't help it that she's emotional!
WEEDER: Hey guys, NONE of this is helping us get adopted! We have to pretend to like our names. Let's not fight!
RAKE: Well, you started it, Weeder, complaining and all. We just jumped on the bandwagon.
WEEDER: I take it back then! I LOVE my name. My new family will probably want to keep it, because it's SO good. Then I can be "Weeder" the rest of my life...yay. (extreme sarcasm inserted)
PRUNER: (still sniffling) Can you just get on with the post, Rake? I'm over it...let's hope our outbursts don't cost us families.
RAKE: Okay, so if everyone can forgive our bad attitudes, we promise to shape up by the time you come to the shelter, we promise....right, guys?
EVERYONE: YES!!
So come on out and see us, and be sure and fill out the adoption application below. There will be LOTS of other kittens that will be here Saturday that have been in foster homes as well, but you can come and scoop us up early if we catch your eye (and heart). Thanks for listening to us, and we can't wait to meet you!!
