DESCRIPTION

**English will follow**

--------------
Fergus is a young, 2-year-old gentleman. Although he’s shy at first, his need for affection gives him away pretty quickly! In his foster home, he spent most of his first week under the bed, but his need for cuddles and human company overcame his shyness—he loves giving and receiving hugs at all hours of the day and night. He often follows his foster family around, especially when they come home; he purrs as soon as you touch him and can be very persistent when it comes to getting his head scratched! When he first arrived at his foster home, Fergus was slightly overweight, so that will likely need to be monitored!

Fergus was rescued from outdoors, where he was being bullied by other cats. He could live with other animals as long as they don’t insist on getting too close to him and as long as his living environment allows him to have his own personal space. He currently lives with four kittens, and as long as they give him the space he needs, Fergus is doing just fine.

Fergus is sterilized, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. He tested positive for FIV but he is negative for FeLV. The feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is only transmitted to other cats through deep bites. Two cats can live together just fine even if one is a carrier, provided they are introduced properly and get along well. FIV-positive cats can live long, normal lives. They need annual veterinary checkups, just like other cats. They may be more prone to health issues, but this is not a certainty. You will not be able to purchase health insurance for your FIV-positive cat. The adoption process starts with adopters filling out our adoption application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeNcnp8YmjuSL_bSN2VHAHyEqcX7zj0fQpVCMRqgtWWmD8mHQ/viewform After a phone call, if everything looks good, then we will set up a visit in the cat's foster home. If we all feel good about the adoption then you can pick up the cat as soon as the next day. Our adoption fee is $250 and that covers all food and vet care while they are in foster. You'll also receive a 25% discount on a consultation with FelineGood, a feline behavior specialist, within the first 3 months after adopting your cat.

Cats adopted from us must be indoor only and declawing is prohibited.
