Meet Popcorn, our little miracle man! This sweet brown tabby is officially ready to find his forever family. His story started on a tough note when a kind man found him out on a walk, suffering from a broken front leg and several painful abscesses. Thankfully, his rescuer rushed him to a vet, and he eventually made his way to our rescue.
We brought him to our vet, where he spent some time getting the absolute best care. The amazing vet techs there completely showered Popcorn with love and spoiled him rotten during his recovery. We have incredible news, too. His leg healed beautifully and the bones fused on their own, meaning he got to keep his leg. Popcorn still sports a slight, charming little limp, but don't let that fool you. It doesn't hold him back for a second, and he still clocks in at absolute kitten top speed when it's playtime.
Popcorn is also FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). While the name can sound intimidating, FIV-positive cats can live completely normal, healthy, and happy lives with regular indoor care and routine vet checkups! FIV simply means his immune system is a bit slower to react, so keeping him safely indoors and giving him good nutrition is key. Best of all, FIV is only transmitted through deep, severe bite wounds-so Popcorn can safely share a home with other friendly, non-aggressive cats, or happily reign as your one and only!
He is the dearest, most affectionate little guy and cannot wait to meet you.
