Introducing.... Smudge! This dignified and mellow 6 year old gentleman found his way INTO a farmhouse in rural Wisconsin. Though he was covered in ticks, had a belly fully of worms, he just had the most WONDERFUL attitude and disposition. After no owner came forward to claim him, Smudge came into our rescue to recieve all the TLC and medical care he needed (including a huge amount of dental work!).

Smudge is now enjoying the indoor life looking out windows, napping in sunspots, and sitting on or near his foster parents to soak up as much head pets and belly scratches as he possibly can. Smudge is the ultimate home office helper too - he loves walking all over your desk and keyboard to give his opinion that you should be petting him, instead of working. He still has a playful side too - he loves his catnip banana, and batting balls around. Perhaps the most charming thing about Smudge is his own purring language he uses when getting attention - “baaaaaaa!”

Though Smudge is not currently fostered with other pets (for no reason other than that was the foster home that we had open!), he previously had done well with dogs in the farmhouse, and showed friendly interest in the former resident cat. Smudge would also do just fine as an only kitty, if you're looking for a solo companion - he’s the perfect mix of sociable without being clingy

Smudge is fully vetted: Neutered, FVRCP/Distemper vaccinated, rabies vaccinated, feline luek/FIV tested negative, microchipped with lifetime chip registration, dewormed, fecal tested. Smudge also recently had a full dental!
