Now / Then - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota

These cute, fluffy bffs, hailing from Nowthen, MN (hence their names), love finding a cozy spot to cuddle, followed by bursts of energy as they play with a variety of toys! They'll snuggle up together or next to/on top of their foster human, and can become little purring machines.

They have enjoyed pretty much all of the toys, and love to get their hands on things like paper towels or tissues.

Now is a bit more reserved than Then, and can take some time to feel comfortable meeting new people. They are both curious, and like to stay close by so they can monitor all the happenings in the house.

Now occasionally enjoys a jog on the cat wheel, while Then likes to be prepared for food and occasionally growls when others approach at meal time, or when he's not into sharing his very favorite toy.

These two have typical kitten energy; they are into everything and are always getting into things and running next to/between your feet. It's important to always look down when these two are out and about!

Giving them a wide range of toys and engaging in interactive play with them is helpful, along with their wrestling matches in the Octagon that discharge some of their youthful energy.

These two live in a townhome with one adult, another pair of kittens and 3 adult cats. (They are currently in a foster with three other Pet Haven kitties: Take Off, and the bonded pair of Squirt and Runa.)

They'd do best in an active home that's not empty most of the time, because they love people, but they are okay being by themselves for short periods of time. The kittens are currently separated from the other cats in the evening, so they have access to their own food all night. (This prevents the other cats in the home from devouring the kitten food, which they would love to do if given access.🙂)

Their foster human currently works from home most days, and they like to lay on a blanket between her and her keyboard, using an arm as a pillow.

Their only interaction with children so far was at an adoption event, but they would be fine with gentle, cat-savvy kids. Their forever people will have to be comfortable with brushing and cleaning their beautiful long fur to keep them free of mats. They use the litterbox like champs, but do like to dig sometimes, so a high-sided box would be best.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
