Meatloaf is a 7-year-old charming gentleman looking for his forever home!

Meatloaf's most unique quirks are part of what make him so special. His floppy ear, big cheeks, and adorable snaggletooth from his one remaining canine give him a one of a kind look. He has the softest, quiet meows and makes the cutest little snorts when he gets excited for snack time.

Meatloaf is a sweet and gentle boy who is ready to settle into a loving home. He enjoys the simple pleasures in life like head scratches, relaxing in his favorite window bed, and of course meal and snack time. He even sits on command for his meals and treats, which makes him quite the polite companion.

His energy level is on the lower side. While he enjoys following his humans from room to room and soaking up affection, he also values his independence. He prefers cuddles in short, cozy moments and spends most of his day lounging, napping, or quietly keeping you company. He has occasional bursts of playful energy but is generally content just being near his people.

Meatloaf currently lives in a one bedroom apartment in the city and has adjusted well to indoor life. After spending time outdoors in the past, he truly appreciates having a safe and comfortable space to call his own.

His ideal home would be moderately quiet and low energy. He can be a bit cautious around new noises and unfamiliar visitors, so he will benefit from a patient adopter who allows him time to settle in and feel secure. Once he is comfortable, he enjoys being part of the household activity and receiving attention on his terms.

Meatloaf has not interacted with kids, cats, or dogs in his foster home, but he previously lived around other cats and did well with those who were friendly and non territorial. He would likely be happy as a solo pet or in a home with a calm, respectful resident cat.

Meatloaf will thrive in a home that understands and respects his boundaries. After a tough life outdoors, he is learning what it means to feel safe and cared for. Watching him grow more comfortable and content has been incredibly rewarding. He is looking for a home that will give him the time, patience, and gentle affection he needs to fully blossom into the loving companion he is meant to be.

Meatloaf is FIV+, but that doesn't mean he can't live a long, normal, and healthy life! Cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, FIV positive cats are able to live with FIV negative cats in stable social environments. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
