Hi, I'm King.

And I have to be honest with you I didn't always feel like one.

In October of 2025, someone slowed down a van on a county road and left me there. I was two years old, alone, and in the worst shape of my life. I was starving and sick. My body had given so much of itself just to keep going that when help finally came, it had to come slowly food and fluids introduced carefully, little by little, coaxing me back from the edge. Luckily someone got me help and I am fully recovered.

Here's what I want you to know about who I actually am, underneath all that hard history: I am tender. I am a cuddle-seeker of the highest order, a lover of warm laps and gentle hands and the particular peace of being held by someone who means it. And when you pick me up? I spread my toes wide apart and do what can only be described as swimming through the air which the volunteers find absolutely delightful, and honestly, I don't disagree.

I lived at the shelter alongside 150 other cats and never once caused a problem. I am easygoing, soft-hearted, and genuinely just happy to be here because I know better than most cats what it means to almost not be.

The volunteers call me a favorite. I call them the reason I made it.

Now I'm looking for something I've never really had a family of my very own. Someone who will hold me close while I do my little swimming thing, and know that this cat right here? He has so much love stored up and absolutely nowhere left to put it.

Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If you are interested in meeting this cat, please fill out an application on our website!
