This sweet baby has had a very difficult go of it. She is 3 years old and only weights 4 pounds. She was an "owner surrender" who received terrible care from her owner. She had feline resorption disease. This disease breaks down all the teeth roots and reabsorbs them back into the body. The teeth break off. They are painful. The reason she was so tiny was that she could not eat enough...she really just managed to stay alive.
But she was so sweet that we decided we must have her treated and save her life...she is just the most loving cat. So we had her undergo a complete removal of all of her teeth, just leaving the 4 canines. She has responded so well. She isn't in pain. For probably the first time in her life that she can remember, she doesn't hurt.
She loves to be carried around like a baby. She sticks right by you, and is very vocal. She will come running if you sing to her, like we did to comfort her thru her most painful times. She is special to us...so we are going to make sure she gets the best home possible.
Please apply if you can pass an extensive backgound check. This girl needs a proper home, that can continue to care for her as her oral needs and other medical issues from long term starvation are addressed.
