Meet Pedro!
This sweet senior was found wandering by a good Samaritan and his eyes and body tell you he has Been Through It!
A medical workup was an immediate need for Pedro. Pedro was quickly diagnosed with diabetes and is now on a steady regimen of a wet food only diet and twice daily insulin shots. Insulin is not difficult to administer and Pedro takes it like a champ. Pedro has an old eye injury which makes one eye appear smaller than the other. Other than an occasional gentle cleaning with a warm cloth, this does not require any further intervention and just add's to Pedro's charm.
Pedro is a world class cuddler and has loved all the humans he has met. As he has felt better, he's become a bit testy with kitty friends and wants to show everyone he is the center of attention. Pedro would do well in a home without other kitties and where humans love hugs as much as he does.
MHS would provide all of Pedro's medical information as well as training on diabetes care for any interested adopter. Pedro is FELV/FIV negative, has been neutered and is medically up to date.
