Miss Butterscotch came from the Outagamie Landfill. For years we have gotten filthy orange and white kittens from them. This year we trapped the mom and she has been spayed. We hope that is the end of this!
All 5 of the kittens this year came in with a botfly in their neck area. They were removed and the area healed up just fine.
After Miss Butterscotch was with us for about a week, she ended up with a weird illness where she was unable to use her front feet. She was immediately taken to Apple Valley Veterinary and they ended up giving her an antiviral medicine, fluids and electrolytes as her counts were low. She was also anemic. Apple Valley worked tirelessly to find the answer to what was wrong, and we are so pleased with their dedication. After some treatment, she is absolutely perfect! You wouldn't know in a million years that she ever had anything wrong. She is a total sweetheart and runs madly around the foster room with her brothers and sisters. She is the only "Landfill kitty" who is completely orange with no white. Some people say that most orange kitties are male, but Miss Butterscotch proves them wrong!
Miss Butterscotch has been spayed, dewormed, and is up-to-date on her vaccinations. She tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped. Her adoption fee is $125
To adopt Miss Butterscotch or any of our wonderful kitties, please fill out an adoption application at https://almosthomekittyrescue.org/adoptable-kitties/
We require an application before letting you meet our kitties because they are fostered in private homes.
You must be 21 or older to adopt a kitty.
***For kittens we do require a home with an age appropriate kitty buddy or that they be adopted in pairs!
