DESCRIPTION

My name is Beamer and I am a friendly boy, about a year old. I was rescued in harsh weather as an abandoned stray after the people who meant the world to me moved away and left me outside to fend for myself. I have been adopted twice and returned. The first time was because I was too friendly. I lasted only a day in my adopter's home before she decided I was too much to handle. The second time was for being too playful. My adopters had two other cats and I wanted to play more than they did. When they didn't want to play anymore, I didn't take no for an answer. It took me a while to adapt to my current foster home after the disappointment of being returned twice, but I think I have things figured out here. I'm predisposed to getting along with the other cats here. There are several of them for me to play with and I don't seem to get on any of their nerves, then I curl up with them for a nap. I'm so friendly to people that I climb up their shoulders and nibble on their ears. I'm a true Velcro cat who likes so much attention that I may be a bit too much for one person to handle, I'm full of mischief and like to get into shenanigans. I would do best in a home that had more than one other cat for me to play with and maybe even some kids to pull some string for me to chase. While I'm definitely not at all a mean cat, I like to play a bit rough sometimes, so a family with very small children would probably not be a good match. However, older kids who can handle my rough-house style of play should be OK. I get along well with other cats after being introduced methodically-- my rescuers can certainly give you pointers on that. I have not yet been observed with dogs, but I seem inclined to like everybody once they have gained my trust, so they think I would do well with a cat-friendly dog. One thing's for sure, if you give me love, I'll give you back a thousand times more in return.

I have been neutered and my shots are up to date. I have also tested negative for FeLV and FIV. I'm being fostered in Revere. If you're interested in adopting me, click the button that says "Start your inquiry." Its right down there.
