Sam - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Mayfield, New York

Sam (born 07/01/2026), is a very social cat who wants to be around his people at all times. He is a very cuddly and likes to greet his people by tapping their face with his front paws and purring loudly. Sam was lovingly fostered with help of a 5 year old so he is confident and happy around little ones and be carried around. He is a very chatty guy as well! Sam has an adorable patch of longer white fur on his back making him stand out

Sam is the last of his litter to be adopted due to a positive FIV screening, he can be retested at 6 months and may be negative likely due to his siblings all testing negative. Cats with FIV live long healthy lives same as any other cats, it is recommended that he be the only cat in the home due to this possible diagnosis and ability to spread to other cats (though very rare). Sam would likely enjoy a doggy sibling as he enjoys running around and playing with our large dog in his foster home.

All of our adoptable animals are assessed in foster homes, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
