FRIDA - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Marietta, Georgia

FRIDA

Domestic Short Hair
🇺🇸
Marietta, Georgia
June 24th
female, medium, young

DESCRIPTION

Frida - ID# 20187 - Kennel #631 - Arrived June 21st - Domestic Shorthair Mix - Black and White - Female - 1 Year Old - 7.75 lbs - Estimated Adult Weight 8-10 lbs - Will Be Spayed Prior to Adoption - Up to Date on Vaccines - FIV Positive - FeLV Negative

Frida is a one-year-old black and white Domestic Shorthair mix with a sleek tuxedo coat, warm amber eyes, large expressive ears, and a perfectly placed little white mustache that gives her a look of quiet artistic distinction - a face as unique and memorable as the legendary painter who shares her name. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on June 21st and this striking, one-of-a-kind girl is ready for someone who will see her for exactly what she is - a beautiful, special cat deserving of a wonderful home.

Frida is FIV positive. FIV - Feline Immunodeficiency Virus - affects a cat's immune system but does not mean a cat cannot live a long, full, and happy life. FIV positive cats can live for many years with proper care and routine veterinary visits. FIV is not transmissible to humans, and is only passed between cats through deep bite wounds - meaning it poses little risk to other cats in a calm, non-aggressive household. Some people choose to adopt FIV positive cats as the only cat in the home, which removes any risk entirely. Frida deserves a home that understands her status and loves her completely because of - not in spite of - everything she is.

At just one year old Frida is in the prime of her life and has so many wonderful years ahead of her. She is FeLV negative and will be spayed prior to adoption - ready in every way for the home she deserves. That tuxedo coat and that little mustache make her genuinely one of the most distinctive cats in the shelter, and her FIV status does not change that for even a moment.

Frida is a beautiful, artistic soul waiting for someone with an open heart and a little knowledge to give her the life she deserves. She is waiting in Kennel #631 with those amber eyes and that unforgettable face, ready to prove that an FIV positive cat is every bit as worthy of love as any other. Come meet her - that little mustache will make you smile before you even say hello.
