Marbles - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Madison, Wisconsin

Are you looking for a lap cat to keep you company while youre working, studying, or relaxing on the couch? If so Marbles might be the perfect fit for you!

Marbles used to be a stray, but she recently decided to retire from her outdoor lifestyle and become an indoor kitty instead.

Marbles is a very sweet and social lady who wants nothing more than to be with humans. Her favorite activity is snuggling up on the couch with her foster parents. She loves to be pet and will sometimes tap people with her paw if they stop petting her too soon. Marbles has a spunky side too and enjoys batting around her mouse toys or watching cat tv.

Marbles would ideally like to live in a home without other cats, though she might get along with cats who give her plenty of space. She does well with dogs as long as they are respectful.

Marbles is estimated to be 6 years old. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and also had a dental a few months ago.


Cats at Seymour Mutts Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:

Spay/neuter
Rabies and distemper (FVRCP) vaccines
Microchip
FeLV/FIV testing
Deworming
Flea preventative

Adoption Process
Seymour Mutts Rescue has open adoption policies based on recommendations from the Humane Society of the United States.
We don't require an adoption application and instead base our adoptions on conversations between potential adopters and foster homes. We do have an optional adoption application to help get the conversation started, or potential adopters can send us a message or email. After chatting with the foster home, the next step is a meet and greet so everyone can get acquainted. If the adoption is a go we'll get the paperwork signed to make it official and send the pet home with their medical records. Same day adoptions are possible but not required.

Adoption Fee: We believe in lowering the barriers to adoption; because of this, we do not require a minimum adoption fee. We do, however, rely on financial contributions. Any funds received is at the discretion of the adopter and goes toward the care of animals in our rescue.
